Ways to donate to your Glendale FireFighters charities

First founded in 2001, Glendale Firefighters Charities is dedicated to serving its Glendale, AZ neighbors in as many ways as possible. As a multi-faceted organization, Glendale Firefighters Charities supports varied community causes and programs without regard to any socio-economic classifications. All that is important to them is that there is a need in the community and that they are able to help or find help to fill that need.

GFFC SMOKE DETECTOR WALK

On March 25, Glendale FIrefighters Charities facilitated a smoke detector walk and was a huge success! We had over 100 volunteers including 26 of our GFD members, E152 A-Shift, The Red Cross, The Arizona Burn Foundation, The Bomberos, and Boy Scouts Troop 292.

Nobody becomes a firefighter seeking fame and fortune. They and their brothers and sisters in the public safety arena seem to be born with a deep-seated need to serve. That is only one reason that it should come as no surprise that, even after working twenty-four-hour shifts under the constant stress of call-outs, they still have not finished giving to the community of Glendale.

Just a small sampling of the efforts they have supported includes:

  • American Cancer Society annual “Relay for Life” campaign

  • Drowning Prevention Walks

  • Glendale Firefighters Annual Back to School Drive

  • Glendale Firefighters Annual Toy Drive

  • Glendale Firefighters Community Action Team Projects

  • Hope for Hunger Food Bank

  • Muscular Dystrophy Association annual “Fill the Boot” Campaign

  • Smoke Detector Installation Walks
